Over the years, Prestons has observed and admired the transformation of the Cosmograph Daytona as the model continues to evolve. Launched in 1963, the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona is considered, in many respects, to be the ultimate chronograph. It is named after the Daytona International Speedway in Florida, one of the fastest racing circuits in the United States. The name Daytona emphasises the historic ties that bind Rolex and automobile racing.

The rarity of this Cosmograph remains undiminished and the watch, as one of the best-known chronographs in the world, has risen to the rank of an icon.
