Black Bay P01

Black Bay P01

For Baselworld 2019, Tudor dives into the deepest reaches of their history and introduces the Black Bay P01. A distinctive and strikingly designed model, the Black Bay P01 is based on an almost mythological prototype watch from the 1960s that Tudor proposed to the U.S. Navy. With its crown positioned at 4 o'clock and the unique end-link and bezel locking mechanism, there is nothing else quite like the Tudor Black Bay P01.

The Black Bay P01 has a 42mm stainless steel case which houses the self-winding, mechanical calibre MT5612 (28,800 vph, silicon balance spring, c. 70 hour power reserve) chronograph movement. The movement has been independently tested by the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) to be accurate to a tolerance of -4 to +6 seconds per day. It has a black dial with red detail and 18ct white gold 'Snowflake' hands. The watch has a 60-notch, 12-hour graduated steel bidirectional rotating bezel with stop system for the bidirectional rotating bezel via a mobile end-link at 12 o'clock. Like most of the Black Bay collection the P01 is waterproof to 200m (660ft) and has a 'domed' sapphire crystal glass. The watch is fitted with a brown hybrid leather and rubber strap with a satin-finished, stainless steel safety clasp.
