The Rolex Day-Date launched in 1956 has many features that were at the time a world first. This most prestigious model was the first watch to display the date and the day, on the dial, written in full. Sixty years on, the Rolex Day-Date is available with the day displayed in a wide choice of languages.
In 2015 Rolex introduced the new generation of its most prestigious model, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date, in a redesigned case size. Now known as the Day-Date 40, this model is available in 950 platinum, 18 ct Everose gold – Rolex’s patented pink gold, 18 ct yellow gold and 18 ct white gold.
